You might find my website useful. It covers the fishing marks around Whitby and has lots of low water photos.

I\'ve got to disagree with you there Ralph. I give Rods and Reels about 3/10 for helpfulness and I usually struggle to get bait from them. It always seems to be a case of \'the digger said he\'d be here an hour ago\'.
Whitby Angling on the other hand get\'s 9/10 in my eyes, he loses a point because when he\'s quiet I can\'t get out of the shop for him talking. Gives me advice even if I\'m not buying anything too. His tackle is as cheap as anywhere (2 piece Ugly Stick Floatation suits £74.99) and the bait isn\'t bad.
Maybe it\'s just my opinion, but Whitby Angling is one of my most favourite tackle shops.
Mike R, I like your site.

The old digger excuse m8,we\'ve heard them all before.we could write a book on excuses.I suppose it is true at times and my local tackle shop has given me the same excuse but if you want bait from them you\'ll have to use them (unless you have more than one shop near you) at the end of the day they would rather have bait in the shop to sell,i don\'t believe they make alot of money off the bait but it gets the punters through the door to buy tackle etc.
Chris welcome to NESA m8,sorry to change the subject in your first post m8.hope you have a smashing time in Whitby

I always use Rod\'s and Reels and have never had a problem. They usually get their bait in on a Wednesday and I\'ve always found there to be plenty first thing on a Saturday morning. The catch reports they give are pretty good as well because behind the counter they have all the details of the latest local matches which they refer to.

I like using Whitby Angling Supplies as well, don\'t get me wrong (very firendly and helpful bloke, even if he can talk the hind leg of a donkey). I\'ve just not experienced these problems your having. I normally stand talking with whoevers serving at the time for about 15 minutes and always find them very helpful.
