  • Any big sea on before Saturday ?

Off out on Saturday just wondering if anyone knows if the cod will be out ?

  • #2
Not if you believe Magic Seaweed, it's going to be flaaaaaattt till middle of next week. Loads of small codling everywhere though, with the occasional slightly better fish in amongst them.

Sorry if this comes across the wrong way but have you not checked the weather sites and webcams to see what the sea is like. You would then know what the conditions are going to be !!

Too right David. There's plenty of sites out there that are canny accurate up to 5 days out, it take seconds to look them up then bookmark them for the future...

Sunderland Surf Report, Surf Forecast and Live Surf Webcams

          XCWeather - Forecast for Sunderland

and those are just the two I usually scan (on a daily basis, sad, I know )

It would be much quicker to check those sites than to post on here. Stewart I also have them bookmarked. I have magicseaweed app , met office app and the accuweather app. It's much easier

I use the magicseaweed site for my surfing, can honestly say they are normally very accurate!

what's wrong with asking for help ? You have a post asking someone for a lift, that someone could have been jubz, but as your stuck up your own arse don't think he would bother !!!

sorry like but I just don't have a problem helping any of the chaps on this site regardless. the forum to me is all about helping each other. I wont always agree with certain things and what people say, but hey am not perfect

Some good sites here guys but I don't fully understand them so have had to rely on others in past but now I'm really trying to learn when is best to go out for myself so these sites will come in handy.

Just a few things would help a lot if people don't mind.
Where it says swell I'm guessing the 0.7ft means o.7 foot swell obv but what does the 8s and arrow next to it mean?

hahah well if i didnt post it wouldnt of made such an entertaining topic.I thought that was the purpose of a forum anyway
the main reason for posting was due to the fact that my surf forecast only gives me one day at a time and i have little experience in finding the right forecast, however im sorry if it offended david or stuart

keep up the good work lads

edit: what site is that wee ver?

Think it's the period between swells and direction ( every 8 seconds).

Does the direction of the swell have much effect on the fishing around north east coast or does it depend on the mark. Ie is an easterly swell better round here?
