  • Tiga lamp or NOT?

Just been on that well known auction site and there's a strange looking thing advertised as a tiga lamp, item 190080294421. Theres a case for a 10ah lead acid battery and a dodgy looking lamp which ''You may even decide to adapt to chargable!''. I thought they where all chargable! Look at the voltages? Is this some old style tiga lamp which I've never came across before?

Just one of their battery powered headtorches

    Cheers, Keith.

So that particular lamp can be upgraded to a 6v 10ah battery, Because that's what that tiga case is for?

I think the case is just for carrying the whole light when it's not in use.
          Cheers, Keith.

My mistake, thought it was the battery holder, looks identical! Seems a lot to pay for a non-rechargable lamp though?

The beam is only 30m! The Tigas we use have a beam of about 200m. Plenty of cheaper headlights will give you a better performance. Take a look at the Princeton Tec Apex.
