      be careful.

some people have bought these cheep chineese cree,s and had no problems, but lots have had bad ones.

we bought 4, 300 lumen lamps at £15 each a few years ago. within a month all stopped working for various reasons.

we then bought 2, 600 lamps each at £20 each [again from china] none of these worked properly at all. from 4 we managed to get 1 to work for a month.

thats a total of £140 between us for a bag full of broken plastic.

a friend paid a lot more for a supposed better quality 1200 lumen lamp, after a couple of months his battery pack gave up.

trying to get anywhere with a seller in china is a waste of time and they arnt interesed in your complaint.

i now use a lensor h7r. ive had it over a year with not a hint of problems. i use it for all my night work including digging. even for digging you only need it on half power and a set of 3 rechargable batteries gives me 6 hours of light.
i have a quarantee with this lamp and spares are available if i need them.

as a back up my local hardwear shop sells a cree for £19 thats far better quality than the chineese ones and if it breaks you can take it back.

its the led itself that's made by cree not the lamps ...

yep your right but everyone seems to generalise and call them all .. crees.

when cree is just the type of led not the manufacturer.

a lot of sellers are just middle men, buying cheep in bulk then selling on.
