Just getting back into it and have a few hours from about 2/3pm ish on Thursday to get the rod out. Anyone prepared to give a recommendation for a fairly comfortable spot to fish then whereby I might get a bite or two?

shields pier, just inside the gate casting in to the bay over high tide.

you should pick up a few small codling, coalies and flounders.

3pm is low tide so you could try the Walkway (South Shields) and fish the flood tide there's always a few fish about there

Cheers dabcatcher - times won't work for me with tides as 3pm is low ride. However will defo give that spot a go. Do you need to cast far and is it rotten bottom gear spot??

fish the tide up on there. 2 hook flappers will do and its mainly mud but you will find the odd snag
