Never heard of a shot called Peggy's on Lynemouth - north of Crosswaters though you've got Railway Hole (there's also the Square Hole at Bog Hall). There's also Hospital Hole at the south end of the beach, just north of the Fairy rocks). I've heard mention of a shot called Peggy's but have a feeling it's somewhere up Hadston to Amble way, an area I hardly ever fish so am not too familiar with all the marks up there.

Sorry to hijack but wheres best to park for the south end of the north beach? Can you park in the power station car park and walk round the front past the pipe? There looks to be some sort of path along the top of the sea defences but I can't make out if it fenced off

You can park there and walk around the front but it's a bit of a tw@tful walk over the blocks. You can park just a little further north by Lyneburn (follow the road through Lynemouth, back towards the beach & just over the bridge) and cut through onto the beach.

what's it like for leaving your car at the side of the road when you come over the bridge?

I don't fish there a lot, but have never had any bother. Hardcore Lynemouth fishers might know better though.

I fish there quite a lot and wouldn't like to leave my car anywhere else than Alcan, especially at night! Bog Hall car park always seems to have a lot of car window glass all over it! I used to park on the bank tops near the gypsy camp but you can't get on there anymore. It is quite a walk and you would need a decent headlamp to see where you are walking as it can be a bit boggy with all the wet coal dust and shale. Just plan in the walk time and take care. There is a path around past the sea defences. You may want to go during the day for the first time and make your mind up for yourself! Sorry if this is confusing but I would hate to say it is OK to park somewhere and for your car to get screwed!!
Never heard of this happening at the Alcan car park!

I fished the other week and left my car next to the old gypsy camp. Was still there when i returned lol.
