A lad on the end of the Ratty last night mentioned it, must be true (might be though, or tru-ish)

Ell, its probably the 12lb and 6lb fish caught at Holmes Gut middle of last week.

I think if a couple of fish that size had been taken recently i would have heard something, at very least a rumour.

Could well be Truly - double em in size and that's the story! One has to ask these questions though?

bit like the story of Geoff King landing a 13lb cod at West End Pipe, been told this a few times, the true story is. That Geoff and Ian Galbraith where fisning West End Pipe when Geoff got a slack line bite going down he struck into a good fish, only when getting it close in Ian said he had picked him up, being the gent he is Ian let line out only for the fish to surface 10-15yards out and Ian with no line left, whereupon he bit through his line so Geoff could get his fish which looked like a realy big un. Geoff wound in only for his hook and sinker to come out the water, the fish was on Ians line, by the time they had tied the loose end to a reel the fish had dived into the weed beds and lost forever.

I had a fish round about 3lb from Hendon Prom and lost another - a guy who wasn't fishing the comp next to me had one 7lb. 1oz...
