    Some love them, I find them very bulky and they raise the reel a long way off the blank so if you have small hands like me they are a PITA.

    I make my own sliding reel seats now and I was surprised at how much of a doddle it is. Just get a normal fuji DPS seat and a decent coaster, unscrew the winch part and slide the coaster on, replace the winch then (use the Centruy seata as a guide) use a junior hack saw to cut a groove either side of where the coaster will go.

    This is essentially what the UK Hooks seats are but for a lot less that the £20 plus you will pay for one delivered.

      Agree that's all I do or use a trigger grip
