I have fished it a couple of times mate, seems to be a shelf at about 80 yards which is pretty snaggy. Wouldn't recommend it on big tides from my experience. But I am sure there are others who know it better. Trouble I had is every time I hooked a decent fish I couldn't get it through the snags.

Getting into it so sorry for a potentially daft question. By half Thru flood does that mean if high tide was listed at 19:00 you would be suggesting starting fishing spot at around 16:00????Cheers Mark

I love this mark very deep water distance is the only way you can avoid snags fishes best low water up fishing in a southerly wind or dying sea the ledge is as said about 80 yards out hence distance is important so you can get your gear up and over was there the other day crab pots been put around the end so a pain me and Mark gg fished it on a 5.5 metre tide the other week wasn't to bad with good strong grip wires and thin line but wouldn't recommend it. Very important to reel fast keeping your tip up. Don't strike and feel for a fish as it normally pulls you into a snag letting it settle reel in or lose your gear. Hope this helps its just what I have found fishing there.

Good mark defo, the ledge is there, I just clear it with a 80-100 yrd cast but often still get snagged on retrieve its that deep, distance works as phil said, to help get get lead back, but still casts under 80 yrds get fish but its a 50-50 chance to get ya stuff back. A good mark to test gear and set up as no walk as such, but big tides can pull you into snags whatever distance you hit! avoid crab potts !!!!!!!!
