I get so much compression into the rod it ends up being 11 foot long during cast.

my attraction to the wr300 was the mk2 almost perfect stiff butt soft tip allows you to bully fish in heavy ground yet with the soft tip help put a soft crab bait out without exploding into bits then when you hit the tide rip the tip bends absorbing the pressure and not pulling your sinker out allowing you to hold bottom in big tide pulls. But the one down fall was the shortness off the rod so in theory finding a 14ft version sounds perfect but the rod is to stiff for me to use it to its potential

sounds like your comparing rods to women and looking for one that will do everything that suits you, it wont happen, you need one for each occasion . I can however, do what your saying and have a days fishing nee bother with any rod , if just for a day . I do know what your saying and youll never find an answer . you will however find a suitable inbetween .

you cant have 1 rod that does them all ... if your fussy , you need at least 5.
