  • Where's all the rocks gone??

    From Sandsend? Was there today, not fishing, but noticed there's hardly any rocks showing in front of the car park. Can only assume there's been a big sea or 2 that's dumped a load of sand over them.
    Quite odd.

    It's the opposite way up at Seaham, after those massive seas in the early spring the Hall beach has been scoured out of sand and even now 6 months on it is pretty much rock all the way along there.

      Same at hendon end bay is bare rock now suites me for the winter lol

          The blast beach,old beach,spiles all washed out even the pier is more snaggy than i can remeber for 30+ years this weekends north wind should push some sand back in

            Wasting your time in the end bay when its like that IMO, much prefer the second bay tbh.

              I only fish first and last bay mate both produce nice fish at distance second bay is Kelpy but a pain bringing in gear

                See I think total opposite, get your gear back no bother on a sea in the second bay but never get it back at the end

                Very underrated mark when theres a sea on is the prom

                  Haha it depends how far your chucking mate it does produce some good fish it's either a very good day or blank never in between

                      easterly seas we had earlier this year did all the damage it always does as previously mentioned the northerly push should push sand back in to a point,
                      did you know panel pins comes in diff sizes ?
