hello nev mate welcome to nesa.the type of gear you are looking for will depend on what type of sea fishing you are thinking of doing and what your bubget is. im pretty new to sea fishing myself only been doing it a couple of years.i have been using a greys appollo and mag525 reel since i started but have just bought a any fish any where rod and i think its great one ofthe lads is selling the same one i have in the for sale section.check it out mate its a bargain.if you are looking for something a bit cheaper check out ebay of find out what your after and put it in the wanted section of nesa you never know there might be a bargain out there for you.by the way my appollo is for sale if you want itwas that a bite (na mate i think it was wind)

tons of good marks to fish locally but all down to sea conditions and state of tide, so without knowing the time you are going down and the sea conditions at that time its hard to recomend venues, if u post the time day you are going fishing i'm sure you'll get pointed in the right direction.
as for the rod and reel as previously posted your rod is well upto the task but for a good general purpose reel a penn 525mag, abu 7000/7500 or diawa slosh would be better choices unless only fishing clean beaches where your 6500 would sufice, hope this helps.
