If your after an all rounder, a reelsport response is a good choice, I fish the same sort of areas as you and mine is spot on, it also handles the really rough stuff to.

Have a look at the Conoflex-V-Century post on the second page Daren. Might give you an idea or two.

AFAW big beach is an excellent all rounder, but not a rock rod.

Zziplex LT Bullet is what i would recommend for "all" round fishing. Superb casting rod, slim with reasonable bite detection and capable anywhere, even in the heaviest ground. Guaranteed not to let you down, a rod you will take a pride in owning and will be worth very good money come resale time.

Also Nitra is a good allrounder and especially good value with free luggage.

If the Zippie is that good why would he resell it?

                  i went fishing

went out with my new rod today, windy as hell nearly got blown over twice .the fishing or should i say the drowning of good worms was a waste of time i was going to fish bill quay but when i got there the gate was locked and i could not find another way of getting in,so back to jarrow i went.i caught one whiting just under size not bad for five hours standing in gale force winds eh only one codling caught and another whiting further up from me.the rod seams to be ok but i couldnt realy tell with the wind blowing straight down the river .ther was plenty of people fishing but nearly all of them had left before twelve must have come down from the north the softies could not handel our south breeze lol that should stur a few of you up for the nesa match he he
