Mustad adjustable bait clips

Hi everybody,
A friend of mine sent me a pack of Mustad adjustable bait clips (Stainless steel wires with a bend at one end and pieces of silicon tube to hold them on the mainline).They look very simple and easy to make at home.Have anyone of you ever tried them? Any opinion about? Richard
