Hi all, never been to Frenchman's bay but have heard good things so wanting to give it a go but need some advice beforehand because its a bit far to find out when's best through trial and error
Any information on best rigs/tide times/baits/anything else would be really appreciated
Only fished it a handful of times myself always 2 up n down for me. Bites seem to come from the gulley and rocky patch 15 to 25 yards out from the point in the direction towards trow rocks or halfway up the pier. Its rough close in. Ive never had much further out or in any other direction. Im sure some of the other lads will have more experience to draw on and offer.
I like the mark and its relatively comfy. You can wedge your rod butt in some of the cracks.
I dont mind climbing down onto the point itself, although I wouldnt do so if the sea was away at all - The whole point is ready to collapse soon, its completely detatched from the mainland. There's at least a 6 inch gap. You could fish it from the top but I prefer being closer to water level.
Tight lines and take a look in daylight!
