Me and a few lads are fishing the comp mate, like you we tend to fish north, we're from south shields and only head south for these comps but we know a few shots. We're going to the registration in the morning but not sure what time yet but i'll let you know 2nite. If you pull a pier peg its always worth a shot cos it always seems to get a few fish on it but not sure how well its been fishing lately.

easington will be a hot mark , followed by the blast beech , the hall pit shot could chuck out a few fish as well .blckhall rocksworth a try as well. dont know how to get to the marks at easington so sorry cant tell you , blast beech come along coast rd when you get on to new rd above docks take left turn just before roundabout and down small rd follow to the end and park up . head towards water and you will find a path to your right follow this and you are on the blast middle to far end will be popular marks .the hall pit shot follow coast rd untill you come to the car park at the north end of north rd park as far north as possible .follow path then rd onto the prom go to your right till you come to steps on to the beech straight in front of this is a small sandy beech between two clumps of rocks.

Where are you heading for ken? I fished next to you at st marys before xmas but this is your neck of the woods so you must have inside knowledge of where and what has been gettin caught, so come on spill the beans!!!

very little getting caught , if you get a pier mark might as well try it boxing day comp won from the chems i think but that was over high water , day after easington club won from hartlepool but there was a few cod came from easington . i am trying noses point then the blast if i can get a mark on the blast later .the hive could chuck up a fish or two but you have a long walk and could lose loads of gear .where ever you try best of luck m8 .

I was just to the right of the cairn stuey, i was as close to the gulley as you can get and chucking east and south east, ken was 5-10 yards to the south of me but chucking into Norweigian fishing grounds! ended up with a rockling last cast! Had a few bites but got nowt to show for it. I think it was the Whitley open a few weeks ago but the sea had a bit lump on it. Nowt like what it is now!
