  • FLATTY BASHIN

With the seas being flat and no cod being caught, does anybody fish for the flatties at scotswood. Ive herd you can get some good sport up there, In my club matches i would rather be weighing in a few flatties instead of standing on a rock mark wasting good bait and nowing your not going to catch owt.

A m8 of mine fished at Pottey Bank at Walker on Friday night for a bit of sport,he got a few flatties and loads of eels,he lost a load of gear as well !! Think he more or less fished out of his car,he said it was a change
    Cheers Alan...

Plenty of good sized flounders come from above the Tyne Bridges as far as Scotswood, i have even seen fresh water anglers catch flounders at Newburn on garden worms. I also know that some anglers have fished at Newcsatle Quayside with garden worms and taken flounders

No Ralph ,not boro - the Arena in Newcastle ,after reading billy\"s post it must be close to his shot / the arena is right next the redheuge bridge - is there fish in the Tees that far up - not taking the p*ss mind you ,but the river always has a \"lifeless\" look about it , let me Know ,could be worth a chuck or two. :P :P

there\'s 2 words you don\'t expect to hear in the same sentence - fish and Tees!

probably loads of 11 legged crabs that glow in the dark tho

actually iv had a few little whiting and a couple of flatties from there but not really worth it as your always looking about wondering if the old granny walking her dog\'s going to pull a gun out at you and demand all your fishing gear n your clothes its good for collecting your bait from though, all those tyres are full of peelers (keep it quiet mind as im told its not strictly legal)
