  • Scotland away day

Fished our last summer leauge club match of the year in scotland. Only 4 of us could make it so I had the perfect mark in mind
Was raining all day at home but bright sky and sunshine were forecast where we were heading.
1st cast we were all into fish, only doggies but a fish is a fish in a match! Big baits were being fired out all day in the hunt for a big fish and some nice 1's turned up

    1st hound to me 4lb 2oz
    .
    .

    2nd Hound 5lb 4oz
    .
    .

    Another hound 3lb 14oz
    .
    .

Thought I had it in the bag when I pulled in a 6lb 10oz Bull Huss
    .
    .

But Bill (dabcatcher) managed to sneak a 6lb 15oz Tope out to win the day!
He also did manage a dab too!
    .
    .

There was some real big fish around too as this 2lb+ codling shows, it was bit clean in half on the retrieve by a big tope.
    .
    .
Class days fishing was had by all.
    Bill Bradley (11) H.S.F 6lb 10oz Tope (19lb 14oz bag)
    A Dendrickson (10) H/Bag 22lb 14oz
    J Watts (12) 14lb 13oz
    S Greenup (4) 5lb
