A few threads recently have got my own mind thinking a bit about things and that. Anyroad I just thought maybe it's time we started thinking about inshore rod caught cod in the same way as we do Salmon, Sea Trout and Bass and things. Should we be taking them home for the pot or ffs the cat at all?
Luckily I am never faced with such dilemmas

I can see your point Ell , I get a real kick from watching fish swim out of my hands ( when I catch them that is ) and only take fish if I'm going to eat them as I'd never feed anyones cat with anything other than poison .... hate the things , but in answer to your question I don't think shore anglers have much of an impact on fish stocks .
