Fished a week ther in June, didn't set the world alight but for 1st timers we found the following, high tide in the harbour on float for Wrasse and coalies and an odd blenny, doggies and flats off Yellow Rock on the bottom, no luck at Dunskey Castle but didn't try too hard as the weather the day we went down there was blowing a hooly but it's supposed to be a sweet spot. Fished a sandy bay close to the Lighthouse but again no luck on a retreating tide. Will definately be back next year possibly a month or so later in the year.
Also did some trout fishing on a samll loch and never had a touch all day
Tight lines.Cheers.
Michael.

I was up there about a month ago, had a great time
Just stayed on the campsite next to the castle, the weather was blazing hot
We tried a few of the treacherous rock marks that we had been told about but for me it was no fun scaling a cliff to stand on a little ledge feeling fearful for my life i could barely cast!
Got some decent pollack of them though
The most relaxing place to fish we found was not far from the habour, you go past the car parks and there is a big flat rock on your right hand side
We didnt get any huge fish there but it was alot easier fishing, we even managed to get a bbq going
Loads of doggys fishing on the bottom, we found float with rag the best for the pollack but did get some on red tailed jellys and spinners
Even more fun was the hen do going on in the pup on the night time! Scottish girls are very giving human beings with a drink onboard
great place cant wait to go back
