If you bought the 30lb stuff, it`s more like 20lb in reality. Rather like mono, it pays to choose by diameter rather than breaking strains.
It`s decent stuff, very little difference to genuine Powerpro, as long as you choose breaking strains carefully
Nice one, cheers mate, I do agree about the diameter being a better indicator for break strains mind. Its amazing how many people will take a spool of leader with lower diameter stated as the same breaking strength due to knot size.

Once you get over around 80lbs with braid, the abrasion resistance should be adequate for the job....certainly not as good as mono, but good enough to use as leaders without too many problems

unfortunately only way imo is to use a braid leader for casting that is pendulum casting trying to achieve good distance heavy braid leaders do stop wrap wind knots etc non existant with braid leaders but braid leaders have there negatives.
i prefer clear rigs and leaders
there is no give in a braid leader when playing a fish in the surf ie no elasticity
plus knots are a pain for me anyway

        just my opion anyway
did you know panel pins comes in diff sizes ?

Albright knot, tied with the mono doubled is as good as anything I`ve tried. A dab of superglue on braid knots does no harm either imo

i used to use 80lb braid straight through (code red) then started to attach 6ft of 80lb mono, dont loose as much braid now at all,
i use f/s with reel down the butt.
