    Alright lads

First post so may be cra* have been looking at the change in weather and it would appear that there is circa 17ft swell anticipated for Wednesday. Due to work commitments will probably mean that I can only fish low water 18.00 up over. I appreciate that lynemouth and the likes will be hard to fish and probably not the most productive part of the tide for there as I normally find that it fishes best 2 hours before high water after a deacent sea (probably Thursday or Friday)? and I am not the most confident on the rock edges, as I am not fully up to speed with the locations and with big waves this would probably be a bad combination . Was wondering do you think that Blyth Pier will fish low water with decent swell? as I am of the view the bigger the better for Blyth?

Would appreciate your views, althernatively would Thursday be better to fish the beaches (lynemouth) when it has dropped off a bit ?

    Any suggestions appreciated

Fishy - on all the wind sites I've got on the computer it's forecast NW - N from Tuesday lunch until Wednesday night then W again. If that produces a 17 feet swell I'll.......well I don't know what. When was the last time a 17 feet swell hit any of our beaches? - probably the last earthquake in the North Sea. I suspect someone has read a buoy report from Northern waters and taken it as a literal reading for the beach. Think you'll be OK for a bit of fishing. Just wish it could continue 'til the weekend eh Jim?

    Oh and welcome lad.

If so mate I think the pier fishes well in a good northerly/northeasterly and I much prefer it over low water so your not far off the mark usualy fishes best right on the end and throws up a few doublers round january...lynemouth would be unfishable welcome to the site mate and enjoy ..keep us updated with your catch reports where ever you head

Fishy - quoted from the website you left -

Our surf forecasts are for offshore swell. It's very important to realise that the swell heights given will not necessarily be the same as the breaking wave heights on the beach

Just as well for us 5'6" anglers with flat caps lol

ps Why is this post timed at 12.37 am? and is that 12.37 today or tomorrow?

No Jim - mine definitely says 12.37 am, either yesterday or the day before. Do you think I've put my computer forward rather than back?
