    hi everyone is there any info on shields open , tried ringing the number no answer .
    start and finish times
    reg time
    boundries
    how many hooks and beads allowed
    prizes and prize table
    ladies ,jounior prizes
    and any other info availe able eg good marks for a lady angler no good at climbing over rocks.

    Sunday 5th November 2006

    11:00AM to 4:00PM



    1st Prize (Heaviest Round Fish) £500

    +

    Alderman Barbour Trophy

    2nd Prize (Heaviest Bag) £300

    Lady Champion: £50 + Trophy

    Junior Champion: Rod & Reel Kit + Trophy

    Heaviest Flatfish: £50

    Many Supporting Prizes (Prize Table over £2000)

    Seniors (all classes) £8 Juniors (under 16) £2

    Optional Sweeps: 100% payout 1st, 2nd and 3rd

    (Pairs: £2.00 per team) (Heaviest single Fish: £1.00) (Superpool: Heaviest Bag: £2.00)

    Competition Details

    Fishing Times: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

    Weigh-in New Crown Hotel 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

    Registration at various tackle shops up until 4:00PM Saturday, or on the day from 9:00AM at the New Crown Hotel, South Shields.

    BOUNDARIES

    The area of he competition shall extend from the Groyne, South Shields to Roker Pier (excluding Roker Pier and its foundations). The South Pier (South Shields) is included bar the Round End, the foundations any part closed to the public are strictly OUT OF BOUNDS. In addition there are venues on the south bank of the river Tyne included, Church Bank, Hebburn Marina (excluding fenced off areas), River Police H.Q. Jarrow Riverside Park, Mill Dam and the Little Haven Riverside Park (Walkway). All other river marks upstream of the Groyne are OUT OF BOUNDS. Competitors are allowed to roam anywhere within the permitted boundaries.

    Please note. The SSADSAC shall not be held responsible for any angler crossing the safety barriers on the Cliff tops, all anglers should take care. FISH SAFE.

      cheers m8 expect an invasion from seaham, any sugestions for marks for a lady angler no rocks to cross .

        i will be fishing frenchmans bay
        just a bit of grass to walk over
        then i might do better than i did last year

          Will there be enough water for fishing the rocks from the top - looks like a lot of folk will be having to move if they want to fish off the cliffs ,or is my tide table wrong ??
