  • New to North East fishing marks

hello all! my name is Mark and have just moved to newcastle from peterborough and know nothing (apart from reading mags ect) about any fishing marks around this area.
i am mad on both fishing and casting and have been doing so for 30years but- fustration has set in already cos i have driven around this fantastic coastline looking for possible rock marks but dont know where to start.
Would like some help, sugestions or tips ect please.
    thanks mark

    welcome mark
mark if you go to the homepage on the left hand side you will see a section north east fishing marks, these are maps of the local shore marks, this should get you started, at least when you hear/read about fish getting caught at a certain location you will know where. Next thing i would suggest is join one of the local fishing clubs and go with some of the lads in it. I am also sure that when some of the lads on here read your post you will get a few offers.

Welcome aboard mate. You could do a lot worse than Pauls (Fishfinder) offer to fish the comp with him, you might even win it lol. Good luck
                Regards, Graham

Welcome to NESA Mark. When I first saw your post I was going to say the same as Paul (fishfinder) You will get an awful lot worse offers than that mate.

If you don't fancy fishing our comp or can't make it then you could do a lot worse than keep your eyes on the "Catch reports" and as Charlton says check out the maps and give it a go.

I still think the best way of learning a few new marks is to be taken and be shown, any time you fancy a session let us know and I am sure that someone will be only too happy to take you out with them.

                  Jim.

Welcome Mark, there are loads of beach and pier shots up and down the coast. if your going to try some of the rock edges and skeers,do it in company,or daylight. stay safe all the best. jim
