Parking at Warkworth isn't too bad. If your travelling from the south (Newcastle etc) then head into warkworth town, go past the shops and across the little bridge and there is a right hand turn IMMEDIATLY on your right just across the bridge. Take this right and it runs you down towards the beach. Its a walk to the pier but the beach looks like it couple be almost as productive for flatties etc..... Think they take maccy and other stuff off the pier though. I find all of the beaches up this way will chuck up loads of flatties, mainly small but lots of them...
Two hook rigs, short casts, small hooks (size 2-3) rag and maccy baits. As everyone knows there is always a chance of a schoolie bass aswell up and down the coast on the beaches .... know a lad who took a few turbot off warkworth beach last week aswell....
Not fished amble in YEARS so couldn't help you there...
Best way to do it is fish light and wander about to where you think the fish should be, enjoy your trip!!"In order to becomes old and wise, first you must be young and stupid."
