    me and my mates usaully fish off the craster pier but someone recently telt me behind the castle is good is this true if yes when do u fish there ie how many hours b4 high tide and sea state

    The Hawthorns
    Heading towards Dunstanburgh Castle the footpath follows the rocky shoreline. Until it gets to hawthorn bay when the rocks double back on themselves and produce a fish holding bay that is an excellent summer mark for red codling. Fishes best either side of low water when it contains plenty water. Expect to lose quite a few traces.
