Fishing in Tenerife (Los Christianos)

Anybody been here for holidays and done a bit of fishing. I'm going next week and wondering whether to take telescopic rod and tackle with me in suitcase.

Been there a couple of times, mate - nice place with a few very good restaurants/bars by the sea. Never fished though. Howevere, there are at least 2 boats that go out from there offering either a 1/2 or full days fishing with all gear provided. If you hire a car you will often see good fishing areas off rocks etc near the road so it may well be worth pulling in and having a go with either a spinner or a small ledger with bread or bread paste as bait (as the locals do) To conclude - I would take your telescopic rod so long as "her indoors" gives permission!!!!!!

hello,i was fishing in teneriffe during the summer just along the road from los christianos and took all kinds of tackle, but after a little communication with the locals all they used was float fishing gear. i caught several different spicies like this using bread flake, but if you go prepared some sort of power bait could probably be used

Just to add to hedley you could check out the big game fishing for marlin tuna etc.check this site out,(www.dotsytoo.com.)the boat is in puerto colon marina.even if you dont want a trip its worth taking a look.its about a 3 euro bus ride from los cristianos.
Also if your into rock bands, pink floyd,garry moore,etc look up SOUNDCHASER.thay will blow you away.
