  • rod and reel advice

Hi everyone, I am hoping on some advice on what rod and reel I should get / avoid, what I should expect for my money and were to look.

I have been struggling on with my Fisatube rod and shimano fighting star multiplier for the last year, nothing wrong with them just not the right fit for me, so I have decided to go back to a fixed spool reel.

I am looking to buy second hand, I am looking for a medium to rough ground rod and a matching fix spool, I would be looking for something quite rigid as I have started fishing more rock marks.

I am wanting to spend £100.

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

    Thanks in advance P & S

I can recommend the penn surfblaster f/s reel. I'm using one and its really good for casting. And it's even better with the braid spool on. Very smooth and lays the line back on lovely. I think I saw a 7000 for sale on here for £50. Do t know if its still there.
    All the gear, no idea.
