Sorry, I thought I'd walked into a fishing forum???...

Having dealt with claims like this before without names, witnesses and of course proof, you stand next to 0 chance of anything happening other than being batted from official to official who will all humour you with half hearted appologies and referals until you fade away. Also it is a civil and not a criminal action so if you persue it I hope you have deep pockets and a lot of patience! Legal aid will not cover this. Unless you tried to claim it as assault, which is a crminal offence, but you don't even have nearly enough to even interest the Police.

Get a grip, accidents happen. Im sure he wasnt aimingmfor you. Any chance YOU could have been at fault? You are everything that is wrong with society.

To the OP. Think seriously about this before making more of a knob of yourself at the town hall than you have already done on here. I would feel like I had no personal pride and self respect whatsoever resorting to something like that. The matter should have been dealt with on the spot. As has been said before it's the old claims culture, a simple minor accident and somebody has to be to blame. I really hope you are laughed out of the town hall with the disdain you have been treated to on here.

That's helped me out a lot and made my mind up i will let you all now tomorrow how i get on at the town hall, found out who i need to see to deal with it.

This remimds me of the daily tit for tat my 4 and 5 year old boys argue about everyday.

Soory but i think your wrong

when i started this thread i was just having a rant and blowing off some steam never meaning to go through with it, but because of the nice and kind replys i got from "pablo safc and others" was at the town hall to day. You are all right the lass at the town hall told me she could not do anything about it,but she made a report on her computer included the photo some one took with there phone right after he ran into the back of me she gave me a copy " so much for more lies "Daz" and told me she was sending it off to the " Port of tyne" as they would deal with it. As for being laughed at when i got there she said if no one tells anyone about these things when they happen nothing will ever be done about it. I was told I'm the 4th person to complain about cyclist's on the pier in the last 3 weeks but the 1st one to be hit and have photo proof of it as for feeling a knob head i don't think so she was very glad that i had been to see her and no i didn't mention the pier watchman as i know it was not his fault just the crazy lad on the bike.
