So did you get the guys details that bumped into you? rather than take it out on everyone else why not take take it up with the guy on the bike? Don't get me wrong the gut should have watched where he was going but rather than becoming part of the blame culture why not just have a go at him???

On a lighter note, and I think I've posted this before : If you look at the signs at the beginning of the pier, they clearly read " NO FISHING. NO CYCLING. DOGS MUST BE ON A LEAD." One day last year I was fishing at the 44 mark, when I seen a bloke RIDING his BIKE with his DOG unleashed and running along beside him. I noticed he also had a FISHING ROD strapped to his crossbar. I had to laugh ; all 3 rules broken in one fell swoop.
However the moral of this is : the bloke was doing no harm, did not get in anyone's way, and his dog was not causing a problem. All these rules seem to be relaxed on SS pier. I've no doubt they will continue to be as long as people ESPECIALLY ANGLERS screw their loaf and DON'T cause problems for non-anglers who have every right to enjoy the pier as much as them.

but if it was a accident then it was what it was and sorrys or arguments should have been done there and then dont pull the poor watchman into it for gods sake!
