Does anyone know a website that has reel diagrams on?I am after 1 for a ABU 7500 LD as mine is f***ed after 10 months of use (less than 8 fishing trips) not impressed at all.

Richy, Used my 7500LD about 4 times last year, then the worm and the spiraly?? bit buggered up. Billy got me a new set for a couple of quid but you still don\'t expect it from a reel made by ABU. I\'ve got a couple of the old 7000 and have no problem with them. Do you think they are using cheaper parts now to keep the costs down.

Well i stripped it down on monday and was not impressed with the gutts of the reel, looked, well to be fair c**p everyone seems to be using more and more nylon. On my reel all the threads holding the handle on have stripped.took it out my boat boat sunday night and the handle dropped off....less than happy i can tell you, someone said it\'s about £8 for a new bit and the p+p on top of that .

I have fished for a long enough time now. I use both Abu and Penn reels. I now know enough to stick with Penn and never Buy another Abu reel. Just my opinion for what its worth but to me there is nothing to compare the two. As far as I am concerned Abu are overpriced and over hyped.

I have sold abu 7200 and all have come back for the pinion,But abu have a new pinion for it that solved the problem. SLosh 30 shafts only snapped when they are not used for the job they are made for{catching fish] most anglers fish places like the groin/s.s pier and try to pull in about 2 ton of rock, the reel is made to catch fish and not to be a mobile crane.I have hed my slosh reels for years and have not had a problem

E-mail The Reel Doctor from the tsf site, he seems to know about these problems and usually has a solution for most problems.

I agree with Billy about the SLOSH. I love mine both the 20 and the 30 however the 30 bust when it fell out of the airing cupboard so will be on the look out for a new one (or 2 if I can get away with it).
