it is silly really. locally I went to go for a couple of hours fishing last night and thought i'll try newbiggin bay because its never that busy down there. pulled up to park and looked down and the whole bay was lined with adults/kids with rods in there hands casting both into the water, up the beach, sideways - wherever really! dangerous to say the least. there also appeared to be a cue for the 'best spots'?
I thought sod this and when to Cresswell. I was the only one there. 3 hours peaceful solitude sadly not even a fish broke the calm. better this than being involved in mass slaughter of mackerel.

That's interesting to know mate - and would explain the longest recorded battle with a bluefin tuna of 62 hours!
