  • Shed broken into. Bikes stolen

    Hi,
A lad i know had his shed broken into last night in the south shields area. He had 3 bikes stolen and some tools. I will post his facebook post below and a couple of pictures of the bike. If anyone can help, or spots anyone with the bikes please pm me, call the police on contact the lad. I will leave his facebook
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Had my shed broken into yesterday. Three bikes, pressure washer and tools stolen. If anyone gets offered or sees the bikes please ring the police and get in touch with me. The three bikes are all pretty distinctive and rare. A white Whistle Miwok mountain bike with black wheels and black and red writing (below), a black Claud Butler Criterium road bike with red and white writing and a Specialized ladies mountain bike in a blue/ purple colour with a flowery pattern (below). If you see anyone riding them PLEASE call the police and tell them where they were. I ask that you share this as well to spread the word. Gutted. Thank you.

If you see anyone with them please call the police and notify the lad. his facebook is https://www.facebook.com/turbosan

    Cheers.

Hope he gets them back but I doubt it, they sell them on so quickly its hard for the police to trace half of them. My sons bike got knicked and every time the police thought they had it they would phone, dunno when a BMX turned into a mountain bike.

As for stronger locks, it doesn't matter how well the shed or garage is locked, you should lock the bikes up in the shed aswell, I have mine with a D lock and chain lock through wheels.

If they want to steal my bike they will have to carry it.
