Its a regular complaint buying crap bait. I tend to use the same shops all the time. Moonfleet is excellent they are in front of you. I also use Nets mainly at Hartlepool but also Garys Pyes shop at Ryhope. You can have a look at the worms before you buy. Another shop i use is Amh at Annfield Plain and the owner Alan has actually given me a bag of worms free saying they are not in best condition.
In a nutshell its knowing your shop and owners-and checking before you buy.

i dont think so,more than ever customers are need thru the door
open the packets when you get the worm,end of story.
dont leave it in the car boot for 6 hours after you get it its perishable goods,which wont last forever, and as such needs to be looked after

Me and a friend missed the bait shop on Sunday so decided to digg our own we ended up with a box full ov the biggest juiciest lugg worm av ever seen had to been atleast 50 quids worth not bad for an hours graft🎣Pb cod 7lbs (1.12.12) Tynemouth.
Best cod since (1.09.13)
4lbs 3oz (11.10.13) Tynemouth.
4lbs 7oz (18.10.13) Tynemouth.
5lbs 3oz (8.11.13) Tynemouth.

I know the feeling, tonight i bought a pizza and a tub of chili, my chili was only half full, okay you cant fish with pizza but same principle check before you drive away then go in and kick there ass haha ive found if you stick to the same tackle shop and have a bit of craic with them you seem to get a good share for your money, everytime ive visited a new tackle shop i seem to get left over rubbish...
