You've probably heard this before but.....
    Around the 44 mark.
    Small hooks with green/black beads.
Plain one and two hook traces clipped down.
A decent cast to get over the mixed ground onto the sand.
    Works for me.
As for parking, what's wrong with the pier head car park?

Agree with all of that, you want to be 70 yards ish or more to get onto the clean sand in my experience. Still use a rotten bottom me to be sure 'though. Best on a flooding tide I am led to believe.

        Target species plaice s/s pier

I'm coming back to the sport after being visited by the burglar scum after 5 years out.Allways thought first gate into the estury is a good shot using peeler on a size 1 two hook flattie rig with loads of bling.my first outing will be friday teatime till dark so may see you there if I can get some bait sorted.Another good shot is just before the Blocks I think it was marked 51 for comps unless changed but a long cast of over 100 yrds needed saw someone had a nice plaice this week from the walkway.tight lines.

Small baits, small ragworm with a sliver of mackerel or 50p size peelers for me.
