  • LYNEMOUTH BEACH 12th OCTOBER 2006

Had my first "cod trip" of the season today at Lynemouth. I fished about 400 yds south of the old pipe in front of the power station. Big sea running, but no real problems holding bottom. Started fishing about 2.45 pm, but didn't get a bite until 6.0pm, when I eventualy landed a codling about 2lbs. Next cast.I caught another one about 1.5lbs. (both on fresh dug lugworm). Unfortunately it was quite dark by then & I had to pack up due to me not having any lighting with me. I know this was nothing spectacular, but it was a lovely mild day with not much wind, and it was a very enjoyable few hours.................and I'm off the mark !
