  • Wide mouth hooks? Options?

Right I'm away to Norway fishing in a couple of month and I'm just stocking up of some gear, noticed how pricey the sakuma's are now. I know there a cracking hook but what other options other than the Sakuma wide mouth extra's in 6/0 and 8/0 are they??
I use to use a hook called Koike wide mouth they were klass but I just can't seem to find anywhere on the net that sells them. (And there half the price and a great hook)
Anyone use them or anything different to the Sakuma's??

    Cheers.
    Always got it!

Matzuo wide gape hooks are strong and very sharp you can by them off the EBay.

Agree and there really cheap and reallt strong they wont straighten personally g o ing to norway were you have the chance of a monster do you want to be trying cheaper hooks there?as one is bound to snap and lose the fish well it would if i did it is it worth the risk?

I know what your saying I'm not looking for a less stronger hook there's just other hooks with the same quality as a Sakuma that I've used in the past for half the price but I can't seem to find them. If push comes to shove il just get the Sakuma's mate.
