  • marsden - flat fish live sandeel

    Hello

anyone got an opinion if its worth float fishing live sandeel on the various rock marks around whitburn to SS?

What would be the best way to hook them up to keep them alive. Seen different opinions on the web ... tail hook v head etc.

Anyone done ths before in this area? This would be on lightweight gear ... 50g spinning rod.

    Cheers

    Mike

Head hook them mate, havent tried it where youre planning on fishing but could be worth a shot on the barrier on roker or off the end

only joking ... i've made up a '3 feather trace' from cuttings off daylights and size 10 barbless carp hooks. Down the side of the pier and ive had them ... 20years ago like ... but worth a try. If it works like i remember i'll get a bucket and a battery airator so i can transport to rock marks. Also, thought about Roker Pier around the breakers ... off a float ... or the Blocks on SS pier.

Just messing ... but worth a try.

PS ... no idea where that Amazon link is coming from ... i didn't pay 22 quid on hooks for a half arse experiment!

with great difficulty i can imagine.

you can dig them next to roker pier on the bay side big tide required and pump and bucket if you want to keep them alive.
did you know panel pins comes in diff sizes ?
