Frozen sandeel, bluey, makkie, crab (can get them pretty easy up there),

Thats what I took last time.. Apparently the locals say we were doing it right but the fish were nowhere to be seen.. Fished next to the scottish national team one evening and even they blanked

Just pop in to Erics shop in Stranraer. He'll give you a load of good info, as well as what bait you need.

I'm going to the mull this weekend as well. Not sure exactly where. We're just gonna take the usual baits up. Rag, peeler crab, bluey in case the mackerel aren't in and one of the lads is getting some mussel and maybe some lug. What size hooks will I need to try and catch a smooth hound?
          All the gear, no idea.
