I've used buffer beads thet slide over the eye of ya swivel and buffer sleeves that cover the swivel but if your trace body is good quality and strong enough beads are fine .
I am a fisherman !
It is not merely something that I do
It is who I am !
Fishing is not simply my escape.
It is where I am supposed to be.
It is not a place that I go
But a lifelong journey that I am taking
It is a passage that was shown to me and that I will continue to show others.
When you understand all of this you will then know me .
And we will fish together
Gemini rig clips allow you to clip your bait behind the weight to increase the aerodynamic efficiency. Plastic beads can cut through the rig body. Rubber beads will prevent this and also protect your knots. Definitely worth using both.
After years of using different kinds of clips including breakaways etc I always go back to imps. Probably the most failsafe clips on the market as never yet had one which hasn't opened.

I've got a doubt about the IMPS.Are they really capable of withstanding a powerful cast using a 5 oz. lead? (of course I mean using pulley rigs). There was a very long discussion in an Australian fishing forum about using IMPS in pulley rigs. The problem was between the IMPS 1 and the IMPS 2.The last ones had a longer fastlink that were prone to open or get out of shape after a powerful cast.Do you know something about that?

In the winter when I was using pulleys I had a few occasions where my traces just seemed to be snapping for no apparent reason. I never though it could be the beads like, Ill try the rubber ones out in future.

The older Imps were good and strong but then went poor and would open out and also the plastic paddle would shatter, I think its been sorted out now.
