  • Blank at the storm drain..

    ...Steetley, Hartlepool...blanked this morning, fished from about 4am through till 6, would have stayed longer but the dogs were chewing my pluck and trying to swim where my line was so cut it short before i hooked one of them.

    Had a few nibbles, one hell of a rod bender but nothing committed, fishing 25/30 yards out with mackerel strips and prawns from the supermarket.

    Over cast morning, hoping to get out tomorrow morning minus the two muppets.....and on that note, two spaniels free to good home, both about as useful as a chocolate fireguard, likely to raise your blood pressure ten fold....
    Usually found on Crimdon beach with two Springers!!

    Unlucky on the blank FD, you might of had something if bait fishing, its usually
    a canny spot for a few flatties.

      When my rod went over i thought i was in like. Shame.

      How do you mean bait fishing? I was, or wasn't i?

        hard luck mate and that may have have been a half decent bass, ill be fishing parton tomorow over high tide, fingers crossed i get your one that got off haha

            No worries mate, i thought you meant if i was using rag i would have had a better chance. Probably would have!

            Cod head i'll be down there for the early high tide if that's when you're down? Will be fishing further down from Parton though but i'll have a wander along to see how well you're doing

              Yeah no bother, ill be fishing at about 3 on the afternoon for a few hours, welcome to pop along see if were having out, if theres a few out ill be the lad with the wellies and long 16ft rod (fishing rod that is) haha
