Some people are of limited budget, without a sponsor the price may just be out of reach, I'd rather it be so that it has a sponsor and is within the majority of those who want 1's budget.
I think before we decide, we should see what it looks like with an extra logo and what the reduction in price is.
And a big well done to Thundepants for doing a great job in making it all happen.
Thanks for the positive comments lads. The Moonfleet logo could go either on the front on the opposite breast pocket position or somewhere on the back. There are some examples below so you can see how it would look. Let me know what you think.
I could still get some done at my usual supplier as well as some at Moonfleet for those who want to pay a bit more to lose the sponsorship logo. If I do that then t-shirts for example would be £15.10 or if you wanted your forum name on them £18.10. Delivery is £4 per order (not per shirt so you could save on delivery by ordering a few). Moonfleet can do t-shirts for around a tenner so that would be quite a saving. Not sure what their delivery charge would be but of course it would be free if you called into the shop.
As the owner of Moonfleet Angling and sponsor of the Nesa forum I am merely offering to reduce the cost of the clothing so everyone gets a good deal, I wont be making a penny out of this but obviously get one of my companies names on the official clothing, I have discussed this with Elton the site owner and he is keen to see this work, as far as not wanting to wear clothing with another tackle shops name on there are two answers
1. dont wear that clothing when you go in the shop
2. dont buy that clothing
easy really, Mike is doing a cracking job with the box stickers and now he is putting a lot of effort with the clothing and I applaud him, if I can reduce the cost of the clothing I will but I dont need to step on anyones toes and its purely an advertising excercise, I sponsor the forum but any other tackle shop has had the opportunity to sponsor it before I opened Moonfleet. Hopefully everyone will be happy with the price reduction and Mike will get the pat on the back he deserves
Paul at Moonfleet
Well said Paul, and I'd also like to add thankyou for your offer to sponsor the kit (and by extension the site), from someone who knows how important getting kit sponsorship can be it is really appreciated (and the same goes for Mike for sorting it).
I live inland so tend to use whatever tackle shop is most convenient for where I'm going fishing. I use Moonfleet a fair bit but now I'm back working in Sunderland I use NETS as well. I really can't see Gary giving two sh*ts if I go in there in a NESA hoody with Moonfleet sponsor logo on it, and if he does then he is less of a man than I think he is.
Seems a bit of a mountain out of a mole hill to me, would people refuse to wear their football colours or even make an issue out of it because they had Invest in Africa or Northern Rock on them? I've played rugby and cricket to a reasonable level and sponsors logo's were a constant fact on both playing and social kit; it makes the kit more affordable and helps out the club (or in this case the site) and this is the first time I've ever come across anyone whoi might have a problem with it.
Well done to Paul at moonfleet , don't like it don't buy it " simples "
Great gesture and as stated every tackle shop could have done it ...........
I am a fisherman !
It is not merely something that I do
It is who I am !
Fishing is not simply my escape.
It is where I am supposed to be.
It is not a place that I go
But a lifelong journey that I am taking
It is a passage that was shown to me and that I will continue to show others.
When you understand all of this you will then know me .
And we will fish together
