  • Livebaiting joey macky

Anyone had any success off the piers with this method off the piers at dusk in previous years? Thinking of using the sleeper rod and slider rotten bottom setup once the macky bashers go home on a night and fishing a couple of hours into dark. Any tips or tales would be great

Do it up Scotland for tope, congor etc but TBH apart from a very very rare bass that is able to get a mackerel in its gob or the odd codling 4lb+, the chances are you will just be tiring out the poor mackerel

If you plan on live baiting i would start off with a launce first, you can catch them in numbers from Shields pier on the cast or at the white wall.

      Good luck anyway.
