Wonder if any of you chaps can help me on this one, I live in Consett and my eyesite isn't what it used to be so I have difficulty seeing what the sea conditions are like from my house!!!

What is the best way to find out the sea state? It gets a bit tedious and rather expensive having a ride to the coast just for a look. I have tried the sea state on teletext but I've had smooth to slight which turned out unfishable and I've had rough to very rough which as I pulled into Blyth car park (pier) the sea was flatter than Kate Moss.

Would love to think I could find some reliable source to give me the thumbs up or down re fishing conditions. It feels a bit like this sometimes

P.S. Thanks for the welcome lads, tightlines to everyone.
