well , ive decided im going to splash out pretty soon on some new gear fore the winter as my 8yr old 2pc sundridge floaty has become unbearable.
i would be interested to hear from anyone whos splashed out recently on soime of the latest gear and whats worth having.
ideally , i would like something 2pc lightweight , mobile and super warm.
cash doesnt come into it coz if its quality ill buy it.
i was looking at the shimano beastmaster range but dont like buying clothing online and cant seem to fing and local dealers.
    cheers

You're not the first person I've heard who didn't like the Imax.

I've a Sundridge that I've had no problems with, still water proof. Stinks but still water proof.

You canr beat the Anyfish Anywhere clothing. Lightweight, windproof, breathable and waterproof. IMHO one of the best items of sea fishing clothing currently available

I currently have a special offer on where if you purchase the jacket and trousers you get them for £99, normally £140.00

I can also deliver them free within the UK

Got rid of my Imax - very dissapointing. I've now replaced it with the Sundridge SAS 2. Got a free floatation vest and carry bag for the suit with it as well.

I bought the Anyfish bottoms and top and up to now I am well impressed. They are very lightweight, waterproof and when I get back home my legs and other jewels arn't wet with sweat due to the breathability. They have more pockets than you have gear to fill them.

They are thin compared to a floatation suit so you do have to layer underneath bearing in mind the weather conditions and temperature. £99 sounds like a canny deal to me.
A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work.

I have a Fladen 2 piece and Imax 1 piece floaty suit. The Fladen is great for 95% of the time and the Imax comes into play when the rod rings freeze over the other 5% of the time. You know when you've got the Imax on as it feels like an extra 5 stone of bodyfat, but its warm and comfortable on days when you would pack up and go home if wearing anything else. One criticism would be the hood. I sent my old hood back for the new larger model replacement and it still won't fasten around my neck (but then again, I have got an 18" neck)

Horses for courses mate, but the Fish Anywhere gear seems to be the dogs do-dahs with the appropriate underlayers on (I would highly recommend breathable gear if you have a walk to your marks)

I'm getting sold on this anyfish gear ,might get some myself , I use the usual neoprene chesties and Sundridge storm beach breathable jacket and I've got an old Sundridge one piece floaty which rarely gets an airing . I might have to hang fire for a bit as I bought a new reel today and getting another on Friday .
You can take the lad out of Walker but .......

i noticed those deals on the anyfish anywhere gear and they do seem popular from what ive heard , but arent they just an expensive glorified waterproof?
i just cant imagine them keeping warm whatsoever in the minuses even with the owld longjohns and fleece etc underneath .
or , do anyfish also do there own base layer system to go with it?
hmm? im pretty sure id still sweat like a fat lass with 3 jumpers on underneath.

I have the anyfish anywhere smock and have been out in the minuses last winter. No problems at all - warm and dry even in the rain and sleet. Wore a t-shirt and a fleece under. It is light enough to carry in the summer and wear if it rains but copes with the bad stuff. If you get something too thick and heavy you will need lighter gear for the warmer months.

I wear a Titan smock and sallopettes. Never had one bit of bother with them.

I must have a dodgy anyfish suit,I was soaked to the skin on sunday in mine.
                          the pockets fill with water.
I will be sending it back.

Dont think its just yours - i have heard of three lads (one gets on here most nights- but will let him post if he wants to ) who have these suits and every one has let them down when it rains ,either the shoulder seams leak badly/or the bottoms leak and soak the rain up !!! or a combination of both - these were all reported on Brand new suits - but like its been said earlier ,horses for courses - maybe these three were very unlucky (and they were all last year,so maybe they have fixed the problem)
