Druridge area

Hi, I'm after some help/advice. We're looking at fishing druridge bay in a couple of weeks time. Is there any particular spot on it that fishes better than the others? Also are there any high water marks you can recommend near there as I've heard the bay itself fishes best over low tide. Cheers

Coincidence, I was just going to ask the same thing meself, thinking of trying for some flatties at the weekend.

Behind the icecream shop at cresswell is a good high water mark. No nead to cast far either. Should get a few flatties with the chance of bass if theres some surf.

Cheers Karl, looks canny,are the rock edges accessible at low tide? Could try a bit LRF on the same day

Hi all, you can fish all along from Cresswell right along the beach up to amble. the rocks or cresswell carrs as they are called can be fished at low tide but beware the tide can sneak around behind you if you are not carefull. I've had good fish from the beach fishing toward the rocks both at low tide and high tide especially the latter with bass to 4lb in the right conditions. the popular marks are the carrs, the boathouse, green skeers and the plantation. park in the ice cream shop car park for the carrs. going north the boathouse beach has its own car park and again so does the green skeers which is more or less just opposite the top end of the lake. the plantation is a bit further on. The green skeers is great for flatties and bass when there's surf about. It's likely i'll be out there tomorrow night to see whats about. Good luck

don't park ya car in the ice cream shop car park the guy that lives there resorts to some sneaky little tactics like blocking u in park over the rd next to the wall next to a little building never had any probs there myself but grt place to fish had some grt nites there:

I find it best fished over low water. Look for the holes as this is where the fish congregate. Don't be scared to lob it 10 yards or so. As the tide floods, the fish start to spread themselves out over the beach.
