hartlepool shore-fishin old timers

Hi folks -

I used to shorefish 30+ years ago based in H'pool - now live - manchester (and work brusssels of all places). - why do so many NEast'steners end up movin away? ( great people/beer/fishin/countryside!)

anyway - used to fish with D ashcroft, L gretten, C walker, J parkes, - (who moved to sth africa), J young, WoggyW, A clark and other ancient H'pool 'seadogs' - any names ring a bell with anyone? I have just come back to shore-fishing (when I can) - would be great to have a beer and session or just catch-up with.

in winter - hope to have a lo-water night session at staincliffe! its only 2 hrs drive

any pointers appreciated
