  • New Sal****er Fly's

My new Sal****er Fly's arrived today from Ocean Flies, very quick and good quality, ordered a few different patterns to try. Mackerel, Sandeel, Baitfish, Clousers, Zonkers etc.... Can't wait to try them, they look awesome and there a lot larger than your average nymph! :-) :-)

The one to the bottom left of the ten bob bit would be my first choice,we tied a load up in them colours and the coalies and pollock gan nuts for them
Tell you something else,a 2lb coalie on a flee rod is one hell of a fight, better lb for lb than a troot by a long chalk

Very Nice.....make sure one of those doesn't hit your rod when your casting....I'd have to improve my casting before I tied one of those on.
Can I ask have they got a website Simon?

          Regards Ian

Crazy that you can't use the word S.a.l."t.w.a.t".e.r on a Sea Fishing Forum! Lol

nice flys mate.hartlys do some nice flys from the fulling mill range there eezy eels are belters. but it tastes a bit sweeter when you get fish on one you tied yourself, clousers and epoxy head deceiver style flys are a good easy patern to start on. you will need a decent double haul to cast your clousers , they can esily drop out of the air on your back cast

not easy trying to get both hands doing diffrent things at the same time, dont know how much fly casting you have done but one thing that helped me was to stand at a slight angle to the direction i was casting so with a slight turn of my head i could see the fly on the back cast. it helped impove my timing and balance , also rock back and forth slightly with your cast to help get into a rythm,.it got drummed into me to dance with the cast ( rock back n forth,), proberly to the amusement of freind that taught me ...... a big thanks to him .
