I got myself a cheep landing net off eBay last year, folding and telescopic, to try and minimize damage to fish and dropping fish on the lift. This net promptly died, so does anyone use one and if so what kind, I'm looking for something easy to carry preferably telescopic and/or folding

On the smaller size which will suit you guys is the fox rage net, This has a bag and a shoulder strap bag (although good in principle, not good practical) This has a long telescopic handle, rubber deep mesh and big enough to land decent fish. I paid £37 for mine.

I've got an old telescopic spinning rod which I'm gonna convert to a handle for one of my (many!)landing nets. Its a 20-60g rod @ 9ft so I reckon I'll get about 6ft extension onto the 4ft landing net handle. The butt is like a broomstick so should be ok for deep water low tide jobs.
D'ya's think 10ft is enough for a net handle boys?

It's really important that a net has rubber mesh when fishing with lures, especially how I fish using lures with treble hooks and catching jack pike.
The amount of times I've had to cut the net or the hooks is unreal.
The savagear net is great, absolutely faultless but get an idea of size as you can fit a shark in the XL version.
