  • Happy New Rod Day

My new lure rod arrived yesterday. I couldn't get out to try it due to the bad winds and am busy today but hope to get out with it this week. It looks lush I can't wait. It's a Century HPR 9ft. Lovely light weight well balanced rod (adjustable balance weights) extra strong HPR (High Performance Resin) and anti-tangle guides so brilliant to prevent braid wind knots. If anyone else wants one Lure Heaven are selling them off with £100 knocked off the price as the new versions have just come out. The only difference is the new ones have titanium guides. Happy days

nice how much did you pay for rod m8.did notice you mentioned the
anti-tangle guides wich prevents wind knots??dont want to be a stick in the mud but you will still get wind knots ,couple of tips for you m8 when loading your spool up dont fill it to the brim?fill it up so there is a couple of ml showing at the top of spool.also every time you cast give a couple of jerks on the braid this tightens the wrapps on spool so it dosent flare up when casting you might allready know this anyway.im looking at the new snowbee raptor bass rod look very nice indeed.

Yeah can't wait Bassboyo. Just hope there's a fish there waiting for me

Here is the link Paul Century HPR 9 ft EBT 5-28g Lure Rod | Lureheaven.co.uk it looks like they have sold out now. Yeah maybe I will still get wind knots but the blurb suggests the guides work and with smooth casting I doubt I will get too many except maybe when casting really light stuff.

There the same rings that are on the Tenryu evo's, really nice rings that work.

Nice rod Mike, bet you didn't show the missus the link and kept the price hidden, she could get a few pairs of shoes for that.

Hi Mike good luck with your new bit of kit.
Might see you down the pier if we get some good weather this year

Tenryu cool! Its the closest I'll ever get to having one of those
Aye Paul hoping to have a few of those on the end of my tackel in May when I'm on Chesil.
Si have you tried it much with light lures? I've got some 5g and 7g bullet heads to try next session hoping to do a bit of LRF'ish stuff.
Yeah definately Trevor see you there.
Lol Pete she knows what it cost but luckily she's already got enough shoes

That's a hell of a lot of money for a lure rod, I hope you enjoy using it and catch a few.
